Kirkby Lonsdale is set between the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales National Parks, and the Forest of Bowland. 6 miles from the M6 and J36. Excellent location for exploring the lakes, dales, and surrounding towns and villages. Great area for walking, cycling, fishing, golf, paddle boarding (on Windermere) and for train enthusiasts the famous Settle to Carlisle train journey, Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway are within an hour’s drive.
It is well known for inspiring the artist Turner and the author Ruskin, whom the famous Ruskins View along the River Lune is named after. Devils Bridge is a popular landmark of the town attracting locals, visitors and bikers. St Mary’s Church dates back to Norman times and is popular with visitors.
